The Departamento di Impuesto (Tax Department) has announced that its main office in Camacuri and all district branch offices will be closed to the public on Thursday, May 14, 2026, and Friday, May 15, 2026. The temporary suspension of services is in observance of Dia di Ascension (Ascension Day) and a designated collective holiday observed by ATV. These closures will affect operations across the entire island, ensuring that staff can participate in the national and union observances.
During this two-day period, no in-person services will be available at any of the department’s locations. The Departamento di Impuesto urges the community to plan ahead, as the closure impacts the ability to process tax documents or conduct face-to-face business during these specific dates. The holiday break reflects a standard adjustment in the public sector schedule to accommodate recognized cultural and labor days on the Aruban calendar.
Full operations are scheduled to resume on Monday, May 18, 2026, at which time the department will return to its regular business hours. The tax administration has formally requested that all taxpayers and clients take note of these schedule changes to avoid any potential inconveniences. By adjusting their visit dates accordingly and allowing time for the backlog often associated with holiday weekends, the public can ensure their needs are met promptly once the offices reopen next week.
