The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) has dispatched five distinguished students from Colegio EPI to Lima, Peru, as part of its strategic Culinary Education Plan. This initiative is designed to strengthen culinary education on the island and prepare a new generation of professionals for Aruba’s vital tourism and hospitality sectors. Culinary excellence is considered a pillar of the visitor experience, making this educational investment a priority for the authority.

During their international stay in Peru, the students will immerse themselves in traditional Peruvian cuisine, advanced culinary techniques, and the country’s established gastronomic educational system. By observing these methods, the group aims to broaden their skillsets. A.T.A. intends for these students to acquire valuable knowledge and inspiration abroad, which they can subsequently bring back to Aruba to elevate the local dining experience and service standards.

The program underscores the authority’s broader commitment to developing local talent and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the industry. A.T.A. CEO Ronella Croes emphasized that investing in the youth is essential for the future of tourism in Aruba. She noted that such international experiences are crucial for the continuous growth of the culinary sector and contribute significantly to the well-being of the wider community.
