The DAS In The Picture Aruba program continues helping individuals receiving social assistance improve their opportunities in the labor market, including support for single mothers facing daily challenges.

According to Marceylaine Paskel, Public Relations representative of the Departamento di Asunto Social (DAS), the initiative focuses on empowering clients and helping them rebuild structure and confidence to enter the workforce successfully.

The DAS In The Picture Aruba project was specifically designed to assist participants in developing job readiness, work ethics, and professional skills necessary for long-term employment.

Paskel explained that among the participants are many single mothers who often face difficulties balancing childcare responsibilities with personal development and job training opportunities.

To address this challenge, the DAS In The Picture Aruba program partnered with Ja IK Aruba to provide additional support and create possibilities for mothers to attend the scheduled sessions.

The training sessions are held twice weekly, every Tuesday and Thursday, requiring participants to dedicate time and commitment toward improving their future employment opportunities.

Paskel noted that the DAS In The Picture Aruba initiative has already produced positive results, with several participants successfully entering the labor market during the course of the program.

The next phase of the program includes internships where participants will begin rebuilding work routines, professional discipline, and workplace structure. According to DAS, this stage is important for helping individuals transition smoothly into stable employment.

The DAS In The Picture Aruba program also maintains continuous communication and guidance for participants through social workers and support staff who remain actively involved throughout the process.

Paskel emphasized that DAS believes strongly in empowering both individuals and the wider community. She encouraged anyone who feels ready to make a positive life change to approach DAS for guidance, whether they require social support or financial assistance.

The DAS In The Picture Aruba initiative reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen social support systems and create opportunities for vulnerable groups within Aruba’s community.

Programs like this not only help individuals improve their economic stability but also contribute to stronger families and healthier communities by encouraging independence and workforce participation.

The DAS In The Picture Aruba project continues serving as an important example of how social programs can provide practical tools, encouragement, and opportunities for people seeking a better future.
