Cas Casuela rotonde accident : Monday afternoon, authorities received reports of a traffic accident with injuries at the rotonde near Cas Casuela on E.J. “Watty” Vos Boulevard. Police and ambulance units were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers determined that a Toyota Vitz traveling from the direction of Pariba had failed to regulate its speed or maintain a safe following distance, resulting in a rear-end collision with a Kia at the rotonde. The impact caused one occupant in the Kia to sustain injuries and complain of pain.
Ambulance personnel treated the victim at the scene. The incident caused temporary disruptions to traffic flow in the area as authorities worked to clear the roadway and document the circumstances of the crash.
Police are reminding drivers to maintain safe following distances and adjust their speed when approaching rotondes and intersections. Failure to do so remains one of the leading causes of rear-end collisions on Aruba’s roads.
