The Aruba Police Force is investigating the death of a 68-year-old man in Bubali. On Saturday afternoon at 3:25 PM, police central received a report regarding an incident at a residence where a male individual had apparently suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Patrol units and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene immediately. Upon arrival, medical personnel attempted to assist the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Forensic doctor Dr. Wemeijer confirmed the death of the individual, identified as E.E.T.
The Forensics Team, Technical Police, and the Victim Support Department were all present to secure the area and assist with the investigation. While the incident appears to be a suicide, the detective department is continuing the investigation to rule out any foul play. The police have extended their condolences to the family of the deceased.
