On Sunday around midday, a traffic accident occurred in Jaburibari near Parke Curason, resulting in injuries to the driver and damage to residential infrastructure. According to reports, a Nissan March traveling from the north veered off the roadway, entered a private property, and collided with a power line. The force of the impact left the driver with injuries.
Officers from the Noord police precinct arrived at the scene to secure the area and gather statements. Paramedics from the ambulance service provided immediate medical assistance before transporting the injured man to the Dr. Horacio E. Oduber Hospital for further treatment.
The homeowner, whose property was damaged, expressed relief that no family members were in the yard at the time of the crash. Given the vehicle’s trajectory, the situation could have resulted in more serious casualties. The police continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the driver losing control.
