Grupo Scout Ora Ubao celebrated 39 years of existence and service to the youth and community of Aruba.
In connection with this significant milestone, the group organized a special gathering at the Scouting Aruba Camp Center (SKA) last Saturday.
During the event, both the youth and adults present actively participated in various team-building exercises, fostering teamwork, leadership, and discipline, which are fundamental values in scouting. It was a day filled with a pleasant atmosphere and unity. On this day, four young scouts were also inducted into the welp category.
Group leader Edmira Christiaans expressed sincere gratitude to all the leaders who, over almost four decades, have dedicated their time and energy to shaping young people with character and responsibility. She also thanked the adults for the trust they have placed in the organization, which has been an essential factor in the success and sustainability of the scouting group.
Looking ahead, Grupo Scout Ora Ubao is already working on plans to celebrate its 40th anniversary next year. The organization is calling on all those interested in contributing as leaders to contact them via their official Facebook page.
Nearly forty years after its founding, Grupo Scout Ora Ubao remains steadfast in its mission: to shape young people with values, vision, and commitment, thus creating a legacy that continues to grow with each generation.
