ATA launches Mi Rason project to celebrate Aruba National Day, contributing to the island’s major national celebrations marking 50 years of the National Anthem and Flag and 40 years of Status Aparte.
During an interview with DIARIO, Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), explained that ATA has been preparing to support the national celebrations and is acting as the main sponsor of the full calendar of events taking place during this commemorative period.
ATA Supporting National Celebrations
According to Croes, the organization is proud to contribute to the celebrations and work together with the Government of Aruba and other institutions to support the many cultural activities taking place throughout the month.
“It is an honor to contribute to the complete calendar of events this month. ATA is the main sponsor of many of these activities, collaborating with the government of Aruba and other organizations,” Croes said.
She explained that in addition to supporting events, ATA has also developed its own creative project as part of the national celebrations.
Launch of the ‘Mi Rason’ Project
As part of the initiative, ATA launches Mi Rason project to celebrate Aruba National Day, a creative production intended to remind Arubans of their shared identity and purpose.

According to Croes, the production was created to encourage reflection and pride among the people of Aruba.
The project aims to remind the community where Aruba comes from, where it stands today, and where it hopes to go in the future.
“It is important for a nation to remember its purpose. We want people collectively to reflect on where we come from, where we are today, and where we want to go,” Croes explained.
Collaboration with Local Artists
The Mi Rason project was created in collaboration with several local artists, who participated in the film and music production.
Croes emphasized that the project highlights Aruba’s cultural identity while celebrating national pride through artistic expression.
The initiative is designed not only as entertainment but also as a moment of reflection and optimism for the future of the island.
Focus on the Local Community
Although ATA is widely known for promoting tourism internationally, Croes explained that the Mi Rason initiative focuses primarily on the local community.
