The Ewald Biemans 45 years ITB Berlin milestone was officially recognized by the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) during the island’s participation at the prestigious ITB Berlin tourism trade fair.

ATA honored Ewald Biemans for his remarkable dedication and decades of effort promoting Aruba in the European tourism market. The recognition took place in the presence of tourism partners and industry representatives during Aruba’s participation at the international event.

His involvement with the global tourism event dates back to 1981, when he first participated in ITB Berlin to help promote Aruba’s tourism industry in Europe.

Since then, Biemans has consistently represented Aruba and contributed to strengthening the island’s visibility in the European travel market.

Special Recognition at Historic Celebration

The recognition ceremony also took place during an important moment for Aruba, as the island celebrates several national milestones including:

  • 40 years of Status Aparte

  • 50 years of Aruba’s national anthem and flag

  • 60th anniversary of ITB Berlin

These celebrations added additional significance to the Ewald Biemans 45 years ITB Berlin recognition.

Symbolic Gift from ATA

To commemorate the occasion, the Aruba Tourism Authority presented Biemans with a unique gift — a pair of cufflinks made from recycled watch mechanisms.

The design symbolized the values that Biemans represents, including:

  • sustainability

  • discipline

  • elegance

  • the ability to run operations “like clockwork”

Surrounded by friends, colleagues, and tourism industry partners, Biemans appeared emotional while receiving the recognition.

Responding to the tribute, he expressed his appreciation and enthusiasm, saying warmly:
“Next year I will be back again.”

Continued Contribution

The Ewald Biemans 45 years ITB Berlin recognition highlights decades of dedication to promoting Aruba internationally. ATA expressed sincere gratitude for Biemans’ continued contributions to Aruba’s tourism sector and his role in strengthening the island’s global presence.
