ORANJESTAD (AAN): The Give to Gain International Women Day Aruba 2026 Campaign Launched message was officially introduced by CEDEHM (Centro di Desaroyo di Hende Muher) as part of preparations for International Women’s Day on March 8.

In an interview with Matutino DIARIO, CEDEHM Director Angela Ras explained the meaning behind this year’s global slogan, “#Give to Gain.” The initiative encourages the community to give in order to build a stronger and more equitable society.

According to Ras, the concept of “Give to Gain” is rooted in collective responsibility. By giving, whether through time, resources, or support, the community gains something far more valuable — a more balanced and just society. For this reason, CEDEHM has partnered with Cruz Cora to organize a collection drive aligned with the campaign.

The Give to Gain International Women Day Aruba 2026 Campaign Launched initiative aims to support vulnerable women in Aruba. Ras emphasized that while the campaign may involve material donations, the real reward is the creation of a healthier and more supportive community.

“It is about giving something in order to gain something meaningful. What we gain is a more equitable community — better for us, better for our children, and better for everyone,” Ras stated.

She highlighted the importance of recognizing that women are present in society throughout the entire year, not only on March 8. Within CEDEHM itself, multiple generations of women collaborate and share different perspectives. This diversity of viewpoints enriches the organization’s work and strengthens its impact.

Angela Ras also clarified an important distinction regarding identity. Before turning 18, individuals are considered girls; after reaching adulthood, they are women. CEDEHM continuously advocates for respect toward women and works to raise awareness within the community about the importance of dignity and equality.

Throughout 2026, CEDEHM will continue its long-standing programs, including discussion groups, personal development initiatives such as “Our Best Version,” and collaborative efforts with other institutions. These projects focus on empowerment, education, and community engagement.

The Give to Gain International Women Day Aruba 2026 Campaign Launched message serves as a reminder that progress begins with individual action. By contributing to the well-being of vulnerable members of society, the entire community benefits.

International Women’s Day will be commemorated on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
