30 years of loving aruba – new york visitors return

Aruba has once again welcomed back a special group of visitors, who are celebrating almost 30 years loving Aruba shared memories and love for the island. Lucia Brienza, one of the dedicated visitors, shares the story of their annual tradition, which has now become a cherished family legacy.

The group, made up of around 30 friends, most of whom are from New York, first visited Aruba nearly three decades ago. Bonded by the common desire to escape the winter and enjoy a tropical paradise, these friends have made their visits to Aruba a yearly tradition. They now hope to pass on this tradition to their children and grandchildren as they enter a new chapter of life.

Having retired after many years in the irrigation business, Lucia recalls the group’s unique approach to their visits: “Any properties we visited were all checking out the sprinklers!” she jokes. Over the years, the group has enjoyed diving, kite sailing, swimming, and exploring Aruba’s National Park. Their nights were filled with visits to the casino, beach bars, and karaoke, while sunsets were shared with stories and laughter.

Lucia reflects fondly, saying, “We laughed and loved Aruba, then and now. We have seen the changes, but one thing that doesn’t change is the beauty of the people and our love for Aruba.”

Aruba Today extends its congratulations to this incredible group of visitors for nearly 30 years of dedication to the island and looks forward to many more years of memories to be made.
