ORANJESTAD (AAN): The Aruba Huis renovation in The Hague is moving in a positive direction, according to images recently shared by Minister Gerlien Croes showcasing the ongoing restoration work.
The renovation began after several years of deterioration and vacancy. With an investment of nearly €5 million, the historic building is undergoing a full restoration, with the original goal of completing the project within the current year.
Minister Croes stated that the Aruba Huis renovation in The Hague represents an important step in restoring the building’s value and dignity, both for Aruba and for the civil servants stationed in the Netherlands who proudly represent the island abroad.
Aruba Huis holds significant importance as it serves as a symbol of Aruba’s presence in the Netherlands. The building is owned by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is officially recognized as a Kingdom Monument, underscoring its cultural and historical value.
Once completed, the Aruba Huis renovation in The Hague is expected to strengthen Aruba’s institutional representation and provide a renewed space that reflects respect, heritage, and national pride.
