Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs, and the Primary Sector Geoffrey Wever recently met with the Sunrise City Coconut Collective (SC3), a group of young professionals and community leaders from San Nicolas.
The meeting focused on ideas and perspectives related to the economic, social, cultural, and educational development of San Nicolas. SC3 shared insights from the community, emphasizing empowerment through knowledge, skills, and access to opportunities.
Minister Wever highlighted the importance of engaging directly with local stakeholders, noting that community-driven input helps shape more effective and sustainable public policies. Both sides agreed to continue regular dialogue, with SC3’s contributions playing a role in future policy initiatives aimed at revitalizing San Nicolas and strengthening its social fabric.
The meeting reflects the government’s broader commitment to inclusive collaboration in building a resilient and diverse economic future for San Nicolas and Aruba.
