The Government of Aruba has officially launched Building Investment Incentives Aruba, effective January 1, to encourage building owners to invest in and redevelop properties in Oranjestad and San Nicolas.
Minister of Economy, Finance, and Primary Sector Geoffrey Wever stated that the incentive package offers tax exemptions and a two-year decision window for owners to start renovations or transfer properties to investors willing to redevelop them. The policy aims to activate vacant buildings and support urban revitalization while the government continues upgrading public infrastructure.
According to the minister, Building Investment Incentives Aruba focus on stimulation rather than penalties, ensuring sustainable development in key urban centers.
