Parliamentarian Eduard Pieters (PPA) shared a heartfelt message of peace and hope for Aruba during the Easter season.
“Happy Easter, Aruba. This season of reflection and warmth is a moment to reconnect with what truly matters: love, humanity, and responsibility toward others. Easter invites us to slow down, look beyond ourselves, and remember that peace is a value to practice, not just wish for,” Pieters expressed.
He emphasized that Easter is more than a celebration; it is a call for empathy and unity. “In a year full of challenges, tension, and uncertainty, it’s vital to recognize the resilience within our community—the families who persevere, the youth who continue to dream, and the elders guiding them with wisdom and love. This is the Aruba I believe in.”
Pieters added that hope is an act of courage, love is a form of leadership, and peace is not the absence of conflict but the willingness to treat others with respect, even when opinions differ. He encouraged society to build bridges instead of walls, extend hands instead of judgment, and serve instead of dominate.
“My sincere wish for every Aruban is that the true meaning of Easter reaches your homes with peace, renews your faith and hope for a better future, and strengthens our commitment to one another. Let us continue with humility, determination, and love for our island. Happy Easter, and may every home in our beloved Aruba be blessed,” concluded Pieters.
