On Wednesday afternoon, shortly after 12 p.m., the funeral service for well-known photographer Hubert Tiel was held at the Santa Filomena Church in Paradera, where a large number of residents gathered to say their final goodbyes and offer support to the family.
Before the Mass began, members of several muscle car clubs and classic car clubs stood outside with their engines running to honor Hubert’s arrival. The funeral procession was also accompanied by several Harley-Davidson motorcycles and racing bikes, paying a fitting tribute to Hubert, who always passionately promoted motor sports on the island.
Numerous dignitaries attended the service, along with former members of the Aruba Fire Department and many individuals who had interacted with Hubert throughout the decades. The ceremony was led by Pastor Jairo, who highlighted Hubert’s contributions and dedication to the community.
After the service, the procession left with a motorcycle escort heading toward Santana, where even more muscle cars and classic vehicles awaited Hubert’s arrival for a final tribute.
