The latest edition of Ban Bek Caya took place in Oranjestad, focusing on art and talent. Once again, the city center came alive, with Wilhelminastraat becoming a key part of the event. Local businesses and the government collaborated to bring excitement to Caya Grandi.
From early in the day, the streets were filled with energy, with shops adjusting their hours and setting up tables and chairs outside to offer services in a fresh, new way. Music and entertainment were spread throughout the area, attracting an increasing crowd.
The fourth edition of Ban Bek Caya showcased local talent, with each plaza offering space for music, poetry, and even debates from the Youth Parliament. One of the highlights was the performance of local Steelpan musicians, including the Cahanan di Orgel, which captured the attention of many. Visitors took the opportunity to film and take photos of the performances.
The event also featured a wide variety of food offerings for everyone to enjoy, and local merchants kept their doors open late into the evening for shoppers. The support from all partners involved was crucial to the success and growth of this initiative, and organizers expressed gratitude for the ongoing community support.
