Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) has announced that Aerolíneas Argentinas will begin a seasonal direct service between Argentina and Aruba starting January 2026, marking a major step in strengthening the island’s connectivity with South America.

The airline will operate five weekly flights using the Boeing 737 MAX 8, with a 170-seat capacity. Over the two-month season, this will total 43 flights and more than 7,000 available seats.

Route Schedule (January–February 2026):

  • Buenos Aires (EZE): 3x weekly nonstop to Aruba, return via Córdoba (COR)
  • Buenos Aires (AEP) via Córdoba (COR): 1x weekly
  • Buenos Aires (AEP) via Mendoza (MDZ): 1x weekly

According to 2025 traffic data, Argentina is Aruba’s second-largest South American market (14.5%), just behind Colombia (32.1%) and ahead of Peru (10.8%) and Panama (10.6%). This new service makes Argentina the largest unserved South American market now directly connected to Aruba.

“This development reinforces Aruba Airport’s commitment to diversifying its route network and expanding access within South America,” said Jo-Anne Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive at AAA.

Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.), called the launch an extraordinary opportunity:

“Argentinean travelers stay an average of nine days on the island, directly supporting our high-value guest attraction strategy. This new route will strengthen connectivity and enhance Aruba’s position as a preferred Caribbean destination.”

Aruba’s Minister of Tourism, Wendrick Cicilia, added:

“We are proud to welcome Aerolíneas Argentinas. This new service creates bridges for travelers and strengthens tourism, business, and cultural ties with Argentina.”

With this addition, Aruba now offers direct air connectivity to four major South American markets: Colombia, Peru, Brazil, and Argentina—further positioning the island as a premier hub in the region
