Neglected Palm Trees at Eagle Beach Raise Concerns Among Locals

VIEWS

Several newly planted palm trees at Aruba’s famous Eagle Beach are showing signs of neglect, with locals expressing concern over the lack of watering and maintenance. The dry and withering trees have drawn negative attention, particularly from tourists visiting the area.

Many of the trees have already been removed, while others remain in poor condition, awaiting even the smallest amount of care. Residents are calling on the responsible authorities to address the issue and restore the trees to a healthier state.

This situation comes at a time when the government has committed to planting more trees across Aruba. A few months ago, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of this initiative, which began during the pandemic. While thousands of trees are being planted across the island, locals stress that proper care and maintenance are just as crucial.

Community members are now urging the government to look into the Eagle Beach area and ensure the remaining palm trees are properly maintained and watered to prevent further damage.
