Wyatt-Ras Anonymous Letter concerns prompted an official response from Minister of Public Health, Social Affairs, Elderly Care, and Addiction Management, Melvin Wyatt-Ras, following the recent mention of an anonymous letter in local media.

The minister publicly addressed the anonymous document — often referred to as a “paskin” — strongly disapproving of both its format and content. According to Wyatt-Ras, the letter contains statements that could be perceived as defamatory and derogatory toward a professional working within the ministry’s bureau.

She emphasized that anonymous accusations do not contribute to constructive dialogue or a healthy and respectful work environment. The ministry, she stated, operates on principles of professionalism, responsibility, and collaboration. Various professionals contribute their expertise and experience daily to support the ministry’s operations, and their work is highly valued.

Minister Wyatt-Ras also explained that in any organization, it is normal for professionals to choose to continue their careers in other departments or institutions. Such transitions are common in any workplace and should not automatically be framed negatively.

Furthermore, she highlighted that anonymous communication, where the sender does not identify themselves, does not promote transparency or open dialogue. The ministry firmly believes in transparent, honest, and responsible communication.

In that spirit, Wyatt-Ras invited the individual or individuals involved to visit the bureau, observe the working environment, and engage in respectful conversation. She stressed that the doors of the ministry remain open for dialogue and constructive exchange of opinions.

The Ministry of Public Health, Social Affairs, Elderly Care, and Addiction Management remains focused on its primary mission: serving the people of Aruba and ensuring responsible and professional operations in all aspects of its mandate.
