ORANJESTAD, Aruba – Police and emergency medical personnel responded Friday morning to a traffic accident involving injuries at the intersection of Caya Jose Geerman and the road leading north from Brazil.
According to the preliminary investigation, a Honda CR-V entered the intersection and struck a Nissan March. The driver of the Nissan attempted to avoid the collision, but the Honda still hit the vehicle, causing it to crash into a truck traveling in the opposite direction.
After the collision, the driver of the Honda CR-V reportedly left the scene without stopping.
As a result of the double impact, a female passenger seated on the left side of the Nissan March sustained injuries. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before transporting her to a medical center for further treatment.
Police continued searching for the Honda CR-V involved in the incident as part of their ongoing investigation.
