ORANJESTAD – Calling all poker lovers around the world! The Caribbean Poker Series (CPS) has become one of the most exciting annual events in Aruba, attracting players from across the globe. Initially hosted by online poker companies, the tournament now takes place annually at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, organized by Island Gaming.
A Look Back at the 2024 Tournament
The 2024 edition of CPS was a tremendous success, drawing 384 registered players over the course of 11 days. Players participated in 1 to 4 games a day while enjoying Aruba’s beauty and vibrant atmosphere. The event featured participants from 32 U.S. states and 20 different countries, including players from as far as Brazil, Argentina, Panama, Bulgaria, Germany, and France, along with regional participants from the Caribbean and local Aruba residents.
The tournament brought in players who stayed in various accommodations across Aruba, including high-rise resorts, Eagle Beach resorts, vacation rentals, and smaller properties like Brickel Bay (Tryp by Wyndham) and Blue Village. All personnel, dealers, and supervisors were hosted at Brickell Bay, conveniently located within walking distance of the venue.
Looking Ahead to the 2025 Edition
Currently, The Casino Aruba is finalizing preparations for the 2025 edition of the Caribbean Poker Series. They are actively collaborating with key sponsors to ensure another successful event.
A Perfect Fit for Aruba’s Tourism Vision
The Caribbean Poker Series aligns perfectly with Aruba’s tourism vision, which seeks to attract high-spending, low-impact visitors. Poker players tend to be loyal customers who not only enjoy the tournament but also bring family members along, contributing significantly to the island’s economy. With gaming as a niche market, these visitors are likely to return year after year, making CPS a key part of Aruba’s tourism strategy.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Caribbean Poker Series 2025, and get ready for another unforgettable poker experience on the beautiful island of Aruba!
