ORANJESTAD – Stingray Swimming Team achieved outstanding results at the PanAm Aquatics Open Water competition in Aruba, with several athletes winning medals and climbing the podium.
Leandro Santiesteban stood out as the overall winner in the 1KM event, securing a gold medal in his category. In the same distance, other Stingray swimmers won silver and bronze, while the women’s team also claimed two gold medals.
In the 3KM event, Ocean van Loon dominated with an overall victory and gold, while other athletes secured top positions, including a silver in the 19–29 category.
These results highlight the strong talent and discipline within the Stingray team, positioning Aruba as a serious competitor in open water swimming in the region.
