Aruba was shaken this morning with the confirmation of the passing of Anuesca Baly, who had been at the helm of SKOA (Stichting Katholiek Onderwijs Aruba). She passed away at the age of 58 on the evening of March 26, 2026.

Since assuming the role of Director of SKOA in 2018, Baly was recognized for her strength and dedication during a difficult period for the foundation. Amid a scarcity of resources and challenging circumstances, she managed to steer the organization with determination and commitment to maintaining the quality of Catholic education in Aruba.

Her professional journey was marked by strong leadership, and personally, she faced serious illness in recent years. Despite this, she continued to contribute and guide the institution until her final moments.
