As part of the International Animal Day Week, the local brand ARUBIANO continued celebrating its 15th anniversary campaign, highlighting the importance of animal rights and care. The brand’s ambassador, Tara van der Werk, who currently holds the title of Miss Teen Aruba International, has been actively spreading awareness throughout the community.
With the support of Nathy Ventura from the Centro di Control di Cacho, Tara visited schools to teach students about compassion and responsible pet care. She introduced “Nina,” a friendly dog who helped demonstrate proper animal handling and care. Using the educational book “Mi Mascota”, Tara led engaging lessons for young students.
One of her main visits was to Colegio Sagrado Corazon in Savaneta, where she gave a reading session and distributed treats and small gifts to teachers and students. She also visited the Aruba Animal Shelter and Sgt. Pepper, reinforcing her commitment to animal welfare.
Tara’s mission centers on teaching children to care for pets responsibly and to value all living creatures. Her outreach perfectly aligns with ARUBIANO’s vision and mission to protect and preserve Aruba’s flora, fauna, birdlife, and animal community. The brand expressed pride in Tara’s dedication and passion for this important cause.
