Minister Wendrick Cicilia, himself a graduate of the University of Aruba, attended the ceremony to support and celebrate Aruba’s newest professionals in the social field.
The Faculty of Social Work and Development at the University of Aruba awarded diplomas to several new graduates, marking an important milestone for the island. The event highlighted the growth of Aruba’s social-service sector and the arrival of new ambassadors of hope — individuals equipped with the compassion and tools needed to address the complex social challenges facing the community.
The faculty also celebrated the achievement of having trained more than one hundred professionals, many of whom are now active in various roles across Aruba. It was truly a meaningful moment of recognition and pride.
Minister Cicilia took the opportunity to share words of encouragement with the graduates:
“As social professionals, you carry a social responsibility. Your knowledge has a purpose — to help build a better community, to give a voice to those who have none, and to defend the rights of those who feel abandoned or vulnerable
