Santa Cruz hit and run incident under investigation after vehicle speeds away

A Santa Cruz hit and run incident occurred on Tuesday evening, March 24, 2026, when a vehicle traveling from Piedra Plat toward Santa Cruz overtook another car and fled the scene. Police were quickly dispatched to the area after receiving the report.

Upon arrival, officers determined that this was a hit and run incident, with the offending vehicle speeding away from the scene. The police collected all available information and began reviewing footage from security cameras in the area to assist in the investigation.

Authorities are actively searching for the vehicle involved and have urged anyone with information to come forward. The Santa Cruz hit and run remains under investigation, and law enforcement is working diligently to identify and apprehend the responsible driver.
