ORANJESTAD — Authorities reported only one arrest during this year’s Flambeau Parade, which took place on Saturday evening, January 4, 2026, in Oranjestad.

The single arrest was related to drug possession, marking a relatively calm event compared to previous years. The Flambeau Parade officially began at 8:00 p.m., departing from the former Kooyman location on Milo Croes Avenue.

The event was jointly coordinated by the Aruba Police Force (KPA) and SMAC. A total of approximately 150 police officers from various departments were deployed to ensure public safety. These included uniformed police officers, K-9 units, Riot Police (ME), Arrest Teams (AT), Criminal Investigation (Recherche), administrative personnel, and members of CEA.
