Music echoed through every corner of Avenida Milio Croes, Vondellaan, and along the full stretch of Lloyd G. Smith Boulevard on Saturday night as the Carnival season officially began.
The festive atmosphere marked the opening of Carnival 2026, with the Flambeau Parade starting precisely at 8:00 pm. Carnival groups danced enthusiastically through the streets, accompanied by live bands whose music energized both participants and spectators.
During the parade, one of the bands experienced a technical issue with its sound equipment. However, the problem was quickly resolved by replacing the equipment, allowing the music and celebration to continue without disruption.
Local musicians were visibly enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, contributing to the lively spirit of the parade. Their presence reinforced the importance of live music as a core element of Aruba’s Carnival traditions.
The Flambeau Parade once again delivered a colorful and energetic start to the Carnival season, setting the tone for the celebrations ahead.
