Malcommunication Between Authorities Delays Response, Police Transport 2-Year-Old to Hospital

On Sunday afternoon, authorities received a report of a two-year-old child experiencing breathing difficulties. An ambulance was immediately dispatched to ABC Tours on Schotlandstraat. However, upon arrival, there was no emergency at that location.

About half an hour later, a new report indicated that the child was actually at Aruba Beach Club, where police were already present. As the ambulance was redirected to the correct location, it became clear that there had been a miscommunication between the involved authorities.

Due to the delay and urgency of the situation, police officers decided to transport the child to the hospital themselves. The ambulance response was eventually canceled as the police had already taken action.

The incident highlights the importance of clear communication between emergency services to ensure timely and effective response, especially in critical situations involving children.
