Aruba’s Minister of Kingdom Relations, Education, Youth, Innovation, and Sports, Mr. Gerlien Croes, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Monroe University in New Rochelle, New York. The agreement aims to create more educational opportunities for Aruban students at a high-level international institution.
The partnership opens doors for students from Aruba to pursue studies in various fields, especially in sports and student-athlete programs, music, arts, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics), as well as academic exchanges and collaborative programs.
This alliance reflects a broader vision to expand educational opportunities for Aruba’s future generations, increase access to higher education abroad, and strengthen academic ties between Aruba and the United States.
Minister Gerlien Croes expressed his enthusiasm for this new step:
“We continue to expand horizons for our young people. Our goal is to provide more options to develop their talents and prepare them for a globalized world. Education and opportunity are the foundation of sustainable progress for our country.”
This agreement with Monroe University is the third international partnership signed by Minister Croes in a short period, demonstrating his commitment to strengthening education and innovation in Aruba. The Ministry is expected to continue working toward additional agreements and academic collaborations in the future.
