ORANJESTAD (AAN): A man sustained serious injuries Tuesday evening after falling while performing cleaning work at a property in the Bushiri area. The incident was reported to emergency services around 8:40 PM.
According to preliminary reports, the individual was carrying out cleaning duties at an elevated location when he lost his balance and fell. The impact resulted in a severe injury to his leg, requiring immediate medical attention.
Emergency responders, including ambulance services, arrived at the scene promptly and provided initial medical treatment before transporting the victim to Dr. Horacio E. Oduber Hospital for further care. The extent of the injuries has been described as significant, though the patient’s current condition has not been officially disclosed.
Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances of the incident to determine whether workplace safety regulations were being followed at the time of the accident. Workplace falls remain one of the most common causes of serious injury in the construction and maintenance sectors in Aruba.
