ORANJESTAD (AAN): Minister of Tourism, Transport, and Labor, Mr. Wendrick Cicilia, has announced a significant step toward the modernization of Aruba’s labor market with the development of a labor market forecasting model. This model will help Aruba address both current and future workforce needs.
The model, which has been developed in collaboration with experts from Economische Bureau Amsterdam, will centralize data from various entities like DAO, DPL, DEZHI, DSA, DIMAS, and SVb, offering a comprehensive overview of Aruba’s labor market. It will allow the identification of trends, anticipate sector needs, and better guide workforce development efforts to match existing opportunities.
“This Aruba labor market forecasting model will enable us to make data-driven decisions and better prepare for the future,” stated Minister Wendrick Cicilia.
This model will be finalized by June 2026, and it underscores the government’s commitment to building a modern and resilient labor market in Aruba
