CasaGo Vacation Rentals, in partnership with the University of Aruba, has launched a scholarship program designed to encourage local students to continue their studies on the island and to prepare the next generation of leaders in hospitality and tourism.
Presentations were held at Colegio EPI, Colegio Arubano, and other schools to inform students about the scholarship and application process. Applicants submitted their materials to the University of Aruba, where a selection committee reviewed motivation letters and conducted interviews to better understand the candidates.
Applicants were asked to highlight their commitment to Aruba and passion for hospitality. Many students expressed the challenges they face in pursuing higher education, yet the strong number of applications reflected a growing interest in studying locally.
The 2025 scholarship was awarded to Prinsly Paesch, whose motivation letter stood out for its personal story and professional experience. Having worked for years in his father’s watersports business and within the tourism sector, Paesch emphasized the importance of combining hands-on experience with academic knowledge in order to succeed in Aruba’s tourism industry.
Breaking Financial Barriers
Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Thais Nierop, noted that education is key to Aruba’s future, but financial obstacles often limit opportunities. She stressed that corporate scholarships not only support individual students but also strengthen the community and encourage graduates to remain in Aruba, contributing to the island’s sustainable growth.
The CasaGo Vacation Rentals Scholarship illustrates how collaboration between local businesses and educational institutions can nurture talent, remove barriers, and invest in Aruba’s long-term success.
