Haydelyn Thijsen, Executive Office at the Central Bank of Aruba (BCA), announced details for the upcoming “Conoce BO Banco Central” (Get to Know Your Central Bank) event, set for November 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event supports the bank’s rebrand journey and its commitment to being closer to the community, offering learning experiences for adults and children.

“Throughout the day we’ll showcase the different areas of our work—our role in maintaining financial stability in Aruba, cybersecurity awareness, and financial education,” Thijsen said. “Visitors will learn more about the Central Bank’s role, the value of our Aruban florin, how we help safeguard stability, and even explore career opportunities at the BCA. We’ve designed four sections rich in information with interactive and participatory sessions.”

Attendees will have direct access to information and engagement in each section:

  1. Central Bank of Aruba: Past, Present, and Future
Highlights the BCA’s core tasks, history, strategic direction, and “Working at the Central Bank of Aruba.”
  2. Our Treasure: Aruba’s Florin
An exhibition of banknotes and coins—past, present, and future—showcasing the value and heritage of the national currency.
  3. Cyber Operations
An interactive area focused on Cyber Security awareness for the community.
  4. Your Finances in Your Hands
Financial workshops for both adults and kids on budgeting and saving, plus puzzle games for children about money management.

Thijsen emphasized that each section will offer opportunities for communication, participation, and hands-on learning.
