The day of the incident, Tuesday, January 27, is described by the family as a moment they never expected to face. According to relatives, Franklin Henriquez was not aggressive and did not pose a danger at the time of the confrontation. They maintain that there was no justification for the use of lethal force.
Family members stated that while Franklin’s mother pleaded for him to be released and offered to personally take him for medical care, police fired three fatal shots. The Franklin Henriquez body returned to family came after days of waiting and uncertainty.
