Easter Camping in Aruba 2025 – A Beloved Tradition Celebrated with Sustainability

ORANJESTAD, ARUBA – Easter in Aruba is more than a holiday—it’s a cultural celebration rooted in family, faith, and nature. While traditional church services and festive meals are part of the occasion, the most anticipated event remains Easter beach camping, a vibrant custom that returns in full spirit for 2025.

For generations, families across the island have marked Easter by pitching tents along Aruba’s stunning coastlines. The result is a joyful transformation of sandy shores into temporary seaside villages filled with laughter, storytelling, and shared meals.

🌞 A Long Weekend of Togetherness

With Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday designated as public holidays, Arubans enjoy a long weekend to reconnect and celebrate. While most government and local businesses close, hotels and resorts offer special brunches and events, ensuring visitors also enjoy the festive season.

Many begin the holiday with family gatherings and religious services, including an English-language Easter Mass at St. Anna Church in Noord at 11:00 AM. Afterward, it’s back to the beaches for a continuation of the fun.

🐣 Fun-Filled Activities for All Ages

Easter 2025 in Aruba offers something for everyone:

  • Easter egg hunts at shopping centers in Palm Beach and Oranjestad, including a major hunt on Sunday, April 20 at 6 PM

  • Holiday brunches at resorts across the island (reservations recommended)

  • Beach games, group meals, creative camp setups, and community bonding under the stars

🏖️ Where to Camp

Popular camping spots include:

  • Eagle Beach

  • Hadicurari Beach

  • Baby Beach

  • Arashi Beach

  • Rodgers Beach

Note: Camping is not allowed on the hotel-front beaches of Palm Beach. Permits are required, and only designated areas may be used. The official camping season runs from April 13 to April 27, 2025.

♻️ Eco-Friendly Camping Practices

To protect Aruba’s natural beauty, the Department of Nature and Environment (DNM) outlines essential rules:

🚫 Avoid:

  • Damaging trees or marine life

  • Using banned sunscreens or plastics

  • Feeding wild animals

  • Releasing outdoor balloons

✅ Do:

  • Pack out all trash

  • Use reef-safe products

  • Keep noise respectful

  • Respect nature and fellow campers

🌊 Keep the Tradition Alive—Sustainably

Easter camping in Aruba is a treasured celebration of island life. But with that joy comes responsibility. By embracing eco-conscious habits, campers help preserve this experience for future generations.

Aruba Nature Adventure, a local tour company focused on environmental awareness, encourages visitors to participate in experiences like the Sea Glass Island Kayak Tour. This eco-tour through Savaneta supports ocean cleanups by collecting human debris that becomes colorful sea glass, merging recreation with restoration.

Whether you’re joining the beach tradition or exploring Aruba’s eco-tours, Easter 2025 is the perfect time to reconnect—with your loved ones and the island’s natural beauty.
