ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AAN) — The E Bruha Bruha film Aruba continues to gain recognition after winning the prestigious Kadushi di Oro award at the 25th Krioyo Film Festival in Curaçao.
To celebrate the achievement, producer Desiree Croes hosted a special evening at her home to honor the cast and crew behind the successful production. Lead actors Yvonne Tromp, Yolanda Croes, Addonsito Croes, and Mirtho Tromp each received individual awards accompanied by personal words of appreciation from the producer.
Special recognition was also presented to Semi Chahmi, who served as cameraman and editor, as well as to makeup artist Rena Croes. Several supporting cast members, including Marisol Tromp, Maria Chahmi, and Mieckey Gravenhorst, were also acknowledged for their contributions.
Following the success of E Bruha Bruha 1 and E Bruha Bruha 2, a third installment has officially been confirmed. Both earlier films will be re-screened during the national holiday period in March 2026, while filming for E Bruha Bruha 3 is scheduled to begin in April 2026.
On behalf of Berea Production, producer and director Desiree Croes expressed her gratitude to audiences in Aruba, Curaçao, and the Netherlands, as well as to the local press. More than 2,000 Arubans have attended screenings of the film.
The E Bruha Bruha series is based on Desiree Croes’ book “No Mas” and tells the story of three generations of women—a grandmother, mother, and daughter—who fight to protect their cunucu home from being taken and converted into an Airbnb property.
