ORANJESTAD (AAN): Carnival Cruise Line, through its ship Carnival Conquest, reaffirmed its commitment to the Aruba community by donating 15 baby cribs to Stichting Casa Cuna Progreso. The donation was officially handed over in Aruba on January 22 during a special ceremony.
Representatives from the Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.), Aruba Ports Authority N.V. (APA NV), and Stichting Casa Cuna Progreso were present at the event. APA NV was represented by CEO Marc Figaroa and Chief Commercial Officer Mario Arends, while Cruise Manager Monica Bos attended on behalf of the Aruba Tourism Authority. Jessica Canhigh, Director of Stichting Casa Cuna Progreso, accepted the donation on behalf of the organization.
This generous contribution is part of Carnival Cruise Line’s ongoing efforts to give back to the communities it serves. The company expressed its intention to continue supporting local initiatives and making a positive impact in the future. Special recognition was given to Port Agency S.E.L. Maduro & Sons for their valuable assistance in coordinating the transportation and documentation of the cribs, ensuring a successful delivery.
Attendees shared their gratitude, stating that Carnival’s support highlights a strong relationship built on mutual respect, collaboration, and a shared commitment to supporting the community.
Though the cribs benefit Stichting Casa Cuna Progreso directly, the donation also strengthens the enduring partnership between Carnival Cruise Line and Aruba.
