The evening begins with an appetizer selection. Guests may choose Sopi di Dia, the soup of the day served with cheesy bread, or Escargot, prepared with butter, parsley, and grilled bread.

For the main course, the menu offers two different options prepared by the restaurant’s chef.

One option is a Snapper Filet, served with creamy mozzarella risotto, crispy yuca, and a lightly spiced marinara sauce. The alternative main course is a 6-ounce Tenderloin, accompanied by crispy funchi, sautéed vegetables, and a local creamy mushroom sauce.

The dinner menu aims to combine Caribbean flavors with classic culinary techniques while offering guests a relaxed dining experience during the national celebration.

Celebrating Aruba’s National Pride

Aruba Flag Day, observed every year on March 18, is one of the island’s most important national celebrations. The day commemorates the adoption of the Aruban flag and national anthem in 1976, marking a key moment in the island’s cultural identity.

Across the island, the day is typically celebrated with community events, cultural performances, and gatherings with family and friends. Restaurants and businesses often organize special events and menus to join in the national celebration.

The Aruba Flag Day beachfront dinner at Kokoa provides another way for people to mark the occasion, offering a relaxed environment where guests can enjoy good food and the natural beauty of Aruba’s coastline.

A Relaxed Evening by the Sea

Organizers describe the dinner as a casual and welcoming experience where guests can unwind while celebrating the island’s heritage. The beachfront setting at Kokoa allows diners to enjoy ocean views and the island’s evening atmosphere while sharing the Flag Day celebration with friends and family.

Events like this highlight how Aruba’s culinary scene and hospitality sector often play a role in celebrating national traditions and bringing communities together.

Residents and visitors interested in attending the special Flag Day dinner are encouraged to make reservations in advance, as seating may be limited for the event.
