A bakery worker injured in Palm Beach was reported on Thursday afternoon after a serious workplace accident at a bakery in the area.
Police and an ambulance were immediately sent to the location after authorities received a report of the incident. When officers arrived, they learned that the case involved a female employee who was working with flour and feeding it into a bread-making machine.
According to the initial report, the machine caught her finger and tore part of it off. Her coworker quickly stopped the machine and called for emergency medical assistance.
Because the ambulance was very close to the scene, paramedics arrived quickly and provided treatment to the injured woman. She was then transported to the hospital, and the severed piece of her finger was also taken along for urgent medical care.
