Members of the AVP Fraction Bishita Fundación, including Ms. Jennifer Arends-Reyes, Ms. Stephany Sevinger, and Mr. Dennerich Kelly, recently visited the Support Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting and guiding individuals who face mental health challenges on the island.
During the visit, the parliamentarians received a comprehensive presentation to better understand the daily work of the foundation. They also took the opportunity to engage in discussions about the challenges the foundation faces and to express their deep respect and appreciation for the foundation’s dedication to addressing mental health issues in Aruba.
Mental health is not a secondary issue—it is a real priority for families, including children and adults. The AVP Fraction strongly believes that there needs to be greater investment in prevention, increased support for organizations working in the field, and expanded access to professional mental health services for anyone in need.
The AVP Fraction reaffirmed its commitment to continue working in Parliament to strengthen mental health management, collaborate across sectors, and ensure that no one is left behind. Together, they aim to build a stronger, more conscious, and more supportive Aruba. The AVP Fraction also expressed its gratitude to Mrs. Caroline Hart and Dr. Kingsale for their ongoing support, time, and work.
