The Autism Awareness Aruba Light It Up Colorful event will take place on April 1, as part of activities marking Autism Awareness Month.
April is globally recognized for autism awareness, and since 2007, the United Nations has designated April 2 as World Autism Awareness Day, aiming to promote understanding, protect the rights of individuals with autism, and encourage early diagnosis and inclusion.
According to Carolina Span of Fundacion Autismo Aruba (FAA), this year’s Autism Awareness Aruba Light It Up Colorful event will be held at the Bestuurskantoor, starting at 6:30 PM, with the official lighting ceremony expected around 7:00 PM.
Unlike previous years, the event will take place one day earlier, but it will continue to serve as a symbolic moment of unity and awareness. The Autism Awareness Aruba Light It Up Colorful initiative reflects collaboration between FAA, various organizations, and the Government of Aruba, all working together to support the autism community.
Carolina Span is inviting the entire community to participate in the Autism Awareness Aruba Light It Up Colorful event and join the effort to build a more inclusive and understanding society where everyone feels valued and accepted.
The Autism Awareness Aruba Light It Up Colorful event continues to play an important role in raising awareness and promoting respect for individuals with autism across Aruba.
