Aruba’s First Inclusive Café-Restaurant to Open Soon

Aruba is about to open its first inclusive café-restaurant, providing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The café, named One of a Kind, is the result of a partnership between the Government of Aruba and the Stichting Trampolin Foundation. This significant initiative aims to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to thrive and be at the forefront of this exciting new project.

The agreement (MOU) was recently signed in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Mike Eman, along with representatives from the Stichting Trampolin Foundation, including Caroll Kock and Marlyne Maduro. The project reflects the government’s commitment to supporting individuals with limitations, allowing them to shine and become an essential part of this venture.

One of a Kind will be located at the MFA Paradera, a space specifically designed to cater to the community. The project is a proud achievement, as it provides a unique setting for local talent to contribute to the restaurant and café business. It also aligns with the government’s vision of fostering community well-being and inclusion.

The café is set to open its doors for a soft launch on September 29-30, 2025, followed by the grand opening in early October. As part of the opening celebrations, the café will be offering free coffee to all visitors in honor of International Coffee Day, with a special One of a Kind coffee blend available, created by the local supplier Cunucu Coffee Roasters.

This café marks a milestone for Aruba, setting an example for inclusivity in the region and beyond, and it’s set to become a cherished spot for locals and visitors alike.
