Aruba Welcomes More European Travelers as KLM Adds Flights This Winter

Aruba is set to see a major increase in visitors from Europe this winter, thanks to an expanded flight schedule from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Beginning December 15, 2025, and continuing through March 27, 2026, KLM will operate two additional weekly flights from Amsterdam to Aruba via Bonaire, bringing its total to nine flights per week—a record-breaking frequency for the route.

The new flights will run on Fridays and Sundays aboard Airbus A330-200 aircraft, each carrying 264 passengers, which equates to nearly 8,000 extra seats for the winter season. This marks a 9% increase in European airlift compared to last year.

Jo-Anne Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive at Aruba Airport Authority, highlighted the significance:

“Adding two more flights per week from Amsterdam—one of Europe’s key hubs—strengthens Aruba’s position in the European market and offers travelers more choice and flexibility.”

Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport is a vital connection point, serving travelers from across Europe including Germany, the UK, Italy, Switzerland, and Scandinavia.

This flight expansion is the result of collaboration between Aruba’s Ministry of Tourism, Transport, and Labor, the Aruba Tourism Authority, the Aruba Airport Authority, and Bonaire International Airport. The initiative supports Aruba’s long-term strategy to enhance regional air connectivity and meet growing demand from European travelers seeking warm, winter escapes.

This development not only reflects Aruba’s rising popularity as a winter destination but also underscores the island’s commitment to expanding its tourism footprint across the Atlantic.
