The family of the late Robert Jeand’or, one of Aruba’s most beloved musicians, is inviting the public to join them in a special celebration of his life and musical legacy.

During a press conference organized by the Government of Aruba, Robert’s son, Robertico, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Aruba and to all those around the world who admired and supported his father throughout his career. He emphasized that this occasion is not just a farewell, but a true celebration of Robert’s contributions as a proud son of Aruba and a musical icon.

The tribute will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025, beginning with a parade at 5:00 PM from the Aruba Entertainment Center to Cas di Cultura, where it will arrive at approximately 6:00 PM. From 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the community will have the opportunity to pay their respects and honor Robert Jeand’or during a musical tribute inside Cas di Cultura.

The wake and cremation will be held the following day, Saturday, September 27, 2025, starting with services at Misa di Santa Cruz and concluding with cremation at Aurora Funeral Home.

The Jeand’or family extends this invitation to fellow musicians, the Dominican community who embraced Robert as one of their own, and the entire Aruban public who shared in his music and cherished his legacy. This celebration promises to be a heartfelt farewell to a man who left an indelible mark on the island’s cultural history.
