The Government of Aruba has officially announced that Aruba pensioners AZV premiums have been fully eliminated as of 2026.

Prime Minister Mike Eman, together with Minister of Public Health Mervin Wyatt-Ras and SVb/AZV Director Edwin Jacobs, confirmed that the Council of Ministers approved the decision on December 12, 2025. Under the new measure, Aruba pensioners AZV premiums are reduced from 5% to 0% for pensioners aged 65 and older earning up to 30,000 florins annually.

This policy change means Aruba pensioners will receive higher net pension income each month. The government stated that eliminating Aruba pensioners AZV premiums is a targeted effort to ease financial pressure caused by rising living costs and inflation.

Officials emphasized that this measure reflects the government’s commitment to protecting seniors and strengthening social solidarity by prioritizing vulnerable groups within the community.
