Aruba recently celebrated World Tourism Day with an event that brought together government officials, industry leaders, and community partners. Ronella Croes, director of the Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.), emphasized the need to engage young people, calling them essential to the future of the industry.
This year’s program featured activities designed to inspire youth and highlight tourism’s role in Aruba’s development. Senior citizens were also honored for their past contributions through music and cultural presentations.
A.T.A. shared updates on current projects and future plans, joined by two international guest speakers who addressed key topics shaping the sector. Croes described the day as a moment for reflection, commitment, and gratitude—acknowledging ongoing challenges while expressing optimism about the resilience of Aruba’s tourism.
