Aruba is inviting travelers to transform their vacations into purpose-driven journeys through the newly launched Aruba VTO — a Volunteer Time Off initiative that blends leisure with meaningful local engagement.
Designed for mindful travelers, Aruba VTO offers special hotel packages where guests can enjoy the island’s natural beauty while giving back through curated volunteer programs.
🐾 Example Programs You Can Join:
-
Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort Aruba
Combines beachfront breakfasts and sunset cocktails with hands-on experiences like beach cleanups and visits to the Aruba Donkey Sanctuary. -
Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort
Ideal for ocean lovers, guests can restore coral reefs, monitor turtle nests, rehabilitate mangroves, and help in lionfish culling efforts. -
Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino
Their Service Stay Package includes volunteering at the donkey sanctuary, along with spa treatments and daily breakfast for two.
To make it even easier, Aruba’s official tourism site provides a pre-made VTO request letter that visitors can send to their employer to request Volunteer Time Off.
🌎 The Aruba Promise
As part of the initiative, guests are also encouraged to take the Aruba Promise — a heartfelt pledge to travel responsibly, respect the land and its people, reduce their environmental impact, and act with kindness toward every person and place they encounter.
“Aruba is more than just a beautiful destination,” says Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority. “With Aruba VTO, we’re inviting guests to experience the island through reciprocity and deep community connection.”
🌟 Influencer Spotlight: Corporate Natalie
To promote the initiative, Aruba teamed up with social media personality Corporate Natalie, who participated in beach cleanups and volunteered at the Aruba Donkey Sanctuary. Her authentic experience showcases how VTO can enrich both visitors and the island itself.
🎉 Sweepstakes Alert:
Now through August 12, travelers can enter a special Aruba VTO sweepstakes to win a custom out-of-office message recorded by Corporate Natalie herself.
Travel with impact. Experience Aruba differently. Be part of something meaningful. ✨
