As Aruba’s Carnival Parade 72 approaches its final celebrations in San Nicolas and Oranjestad, the island is preparing for a weekend filled with color, music, and vibrant energy. While the festivities mark the grand closing of Carnival season, safety should remain a top priority during Aruba’s Carnival Parade 72.

Here are important tips to help you and your family stay safe and enjoy Aruba’s Carnival Parade 72 responsibly:

Children Under 5 Should Stay Home

Although Carnival is a joyful celebration, the loud music, crowded streets, and widespread alcohol consumption can create an unsuitable environment for very young children. It is recommended that children under 5 stay at home or at the hotel under the supervision of family or trusted friends.

Know Your Limits and Have a Designated Driver

Alcohol consumption is common during Aruba’s Carnival Parade 72, but moderation is essential. Avoid excessive drinking and always plan ahead by having a designated driver who will remain sober and ensure everyone gets home safely.

Protect Your Skin and Your Ears

Large parade events can reach noise levels of up to 120 decibels, which may cause permanent hearing damage. Wearing earplugs is important for both children and adults during Aruba’s Carnival Parade 72.

Aruba’s strong sun also requires extra care. Use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and reapply every 1–2 hours. Wear hats, sunglasses, and lightweight protective clothing to avoid sunburn and heat exhaustion.

Stay Hydrated

In addition to other beverages, drink water regularly throughout Aruba’s Carnival Parade 72 to prevent dehydration. The combination of sun exposure and alcohol can quickly lead to heat-related illnesses.

Seek Help Immediately if Needed

Police patrols and Red Cross volunteers will be present during Aruba’s Carnival Parade 72 to assist in case of emergencies. If you feel unwell, dizzy, or uncomfortable, do not hesitate to seek immediate help.

Aruba Today encourages everyone to celebrate safely. Aruba’s Carnival Parade 72 is a proud cultural tradition, and it is best enjoyed in a healthy and secure environment.
